IPOH: Gerakan will not follow MCA, which rejected all posts in the Government and closed all its service centres after its poor performance in the recent general election, said Gerakan deputy president Datuk Chang Ko Youn.
He said this was because the party believed in the policies and ideologies propagated by the Barisan Nasional.
"Just because you lose miserably, does not mean you just want to decline the post. "You can decline or reject the post if you have policy differences or you do not agree with the Government policy, yes you must reject," he told reporters, on Thursday.
Gerakan would not leave the Barisan which now had a new dimension under the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, he said.- Bernama
